Deeper and Darker expands Minecraft’s Deep Dark with new sculk-themed content and the Otherside, a dangerous underground dimension reached by activating the portal at an Ancient City with the Heart of the Deep taken from a Warden. The Otherside combines cavernous terrain, green fog, towering sculk-stone pillars, hanging vines, and sculk gleam with distinct biomes including the deeplands, echoing forest, overcast columns, and blooming caverns. Its landscapes feature hazards such as sculk jaws that bite intruders and infested sculk that releases shriek worms when stepped on, while ancient vases in temples and cities can unleash dangerous creatures when broken carelessly. Explore the Warden’s ancient temple and find additions such as echo trees with purple foliage, amber columns, and more than a hundred building blocks, including sculk stone variants, echo wood, and gloomslate. The mod adds eight new mobs, including sculk leeches, sculk snappers, shattered, and shriek worms, as well as a miniboss. Players can upgrade netherite gear into Warden armor and tools, craft a Soul Elytra, and use weapons such as the Sonorous Staff, which unleashes a sonic boom. Other equipment includes the Sculk Transmitter, which links to blocks such as chests, crafting tables, furnaces, and smithing tables so their interfaces can be accessed remotely. The Overcast Columns biome adds crystallized amber, damaging gloom cactus, gloom vegetation, and geysers that launch players into the air and grant slow falling.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds, code history and pull requests and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
