    About

    ToroChess adds playable chess to Minecraft for creative and survival play, with pieces represented by standard Minecraft entities that move and attack like mobs. A chess control block creates and manages the board, while players can replace its squares with other solid blocks to fit the board into their builds; the control block also provides options to reset or clear the game. Players control each side's pieces with four wands, selecting a piece and then a destination square or enemy piece, and the wands can be used from a distance. Castling is supported when the usual king-and-rook conditions are met, and pawns automatically promote to queens on reaching the far side; en passant is not supported.
