Twisted Horrors adds spooky hostile and unusual creatures to Minecraft, many with behaviors designed to make familiar places feel unsafe. Its roster ranges from the Twistation, which calls out before chasing and slows you when it draws close, to the Forgotten One, which floats after you and vanishes and reappears when struck. Other encounters include the sand-burrowing Sand Crawler, the disguising Skel, and the Savage Experiment, which produces fog and can track players by sound. Creatures are tied to particular environments: meat creatures and Hush inhabit the Carrion, souls and their corrupted kin haunt the Soul Sand Valleys, and the Temple Guardian defends jungle temples. The mod also adds threats to the seas and other dimensions, including the Anglerfish and Depths Beast in the water, plus Void Cultists and Void Knights in the End and around bedrock in the Overworld and Nether.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.19.2 to 1.19.4.
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 73 blocks, 55 items, 44 entities, 1 biome, 15 recipes, 4 loot tables and 41 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.19.2 to 1.19.4.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.19.2 to 1.19.4.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
