Vegan Life adds crafting and farming alternatives for obtaining Minecraft items without killing animals or mobs, while leaving the usual way of playing available. Its plant-based materials include jute grown from seeds and stalks, which can be retted into fiber for string or burlap that substitutes for leather, and kapok from jungle leaves that can replace wool. Other recipes turn potato starch into bioplastic and combine sunflower oil, wax and rosin into inks that can stand in for ink sacs and white dye. The mod also provides alternatives for items such as ender pearls, feathers, spider eyes, rabbit's feet, shulker shells and ghast tears, using materials or mechanics such as raw ender, faux feathers, Doll's Eyes, faux rabbit's feet, flying Endblocks and Proof of Suffering. These alternatives are gathered and made through varied world interactions: for example, raw ender forms at an Ender Rift when water is present at night, while flying Endblocks can yield shulker shells over time. Additional recipes cover gunpowder, blaze rods and mob skulls, and configurable settings include drop chances and jute retting stages.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
Adds 8 blocks, 28 items and 30 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
