    About

    Woodwalkers lets you unlock a second mob form and switch between your player and that form, turning mob transformation into a way to explore, travel, and surprise other players. To unlock a form, find a mob in the world and scan it while looking at it; the chosen second shape is permanent by default, though configuration or operator commands can allow it to be reset or replaced. Each form can alter your health, size, movement, and other traits, while hiding your nametag; mob-specific abilities make forms behave differently, with examples including walking over lava as a Strider, exploring as a Bat, and using a Ghast's explosive power. Some forms also reproduce recognizable mob behavior, such as aquatic breathing and faster swimming, burning in daylight, or healing through attacks, and abilities can be used separately from these passive traits. A variants menu lets players choose among supported mob appearances, including cat coat patterns, frog climates, horse colors, parrot colors, and different Magma Cube or Slime sizes. Configuration options let server operators and modpack makers control which mobs, traits, and abilities are available, adjust gameplay behavior, and manage player access; datapacks can register abilities, traits, and variants for custom content.
