Minecraft Breakdown is a multiplayer PvP/PvE survival factions modpack built around a custom modern-combat server, where players scavenge, fight, build and raid faction bases. Its open wilderness generates roads, towns, cities and military compounds with respawning loot, guarded by armed survivor NPCs; the server also offers missions such as defending an oil rig or gold mine from NPCs and their helicopter backup. Players can use a large arsenal of more than 120 guns and more than 90 planes and vehicles, with examples including the Ash12 and MK47 rifles, APS amphibious rifle, BM-21 Grad rocket artillery and modern tanks. Vehicle combat has tailored handling and features such as improved aircraft physics, vehicle locking, flares, helicopter crash damage, amphibious vehicles that float, and turret stabilization on most modern tanks. Progression connects scavenging and combat to the economy: players sell loot for money, earn respect by selling items, completing tasks, killing NPCs or players, raiding, and playing minigames, then raise levels to unlock shop purchases such as guns and vehicles. Factions can claim chunk-based territory and defend bases against explosive raids during scheduled vulnerability windows; lockable storage and code-locked custom blocks support base security. The server also includes passive-income factories that occupy a 16-by-16-block area and produce goods while players are away, including mills, lumber mills, concrete factories, solar plants, oil pumps, ammunition factories, iron refineries and reactors. Separate game modes add Battlefield-style matches, including Gun Game, where kills advance players to new weapons, and Domination, alongside maps such as Noshahr Canals and Scrapmetal; a PUBG-inspired Battle Royale mode is also offered.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.8.9 · Forge, 17 Jul 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 22 Sep 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 5 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 1 of the 3 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in it, or its author declared AI content.
2 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
