    JourneyMap maps the Minecraft world in real time as players explore, with the map generated on the client. Players can view explored areas in an in-game minimap or a scrollable full-screen map, which shows terrain as it appeared when discovered; a separate Webmap addon can also display the map in a browser, including on a phone or tablet while the game is running. The minimap can show the player’s position and nearby players, animals, and monsters, while map markers identify waypoints, death waypoints, and entities such as villagers or hostile mobs. Players can create and manage waypoints, customize map displays and settings, and back up or restore explored map data and waypoints when moving between computers or reinstalling. On multiplayer servers, the optional server component lets administrators manage JourneyMap client features, including waypoint permissions, radar visibility, and mapping access; it does not create or host maps on the server.
