New Interesting Mods is a lightweight showcase modpack intended to introduce players to lesser-known Minecraft mods alongside some popular ones. Its included mods add basic automation with Progressive Automation, custom tools with Tinkers’ Construct, larger storage with Iron Chests, utility wands, and an enchantment that enables double jumping. Other additions help with everyday play: Inventory Tweaks sorts inventories automatically, Inventory Book records the names of items lost on death, Neat displays mob health bars, Chunk Animator animates the world as it loads, and Clay WorldGen makes clay easier to find. On servers, Morpheus allows the night to be skipped when half the players are sleeping. The pack contains relatively few mods and is described as running well on older computers.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.9.4 · Forge, 7 Jun 2016). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 13 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Its mods send nothing about you
We read the code of all 13 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI tool in the 8 mods we checked, and no AI content is declared for them on Modrinth.
5 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
