A light modpack adds small changes while keeping existing worlds usable.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 150 graded mods, 150 are graded A or B, 0 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 5 weeks ago, for Minecraft 26.3. See the mods
The Vanilla Experience is a lightweight vanilla+ modpack that adds configurable quality-of-life changes and gameplay tweaks while keeping worlds interchangeable with unmodded Minecraft saves, including saves that remain usable after removing the mods. Its everyday conveniences include opening nearby doors automatically, riding horses without saddles, crafting experience bottles, moving boats and minecarts without breaking them, and using quick-access functions for items such as beds, crafting tables, ender chests, and shulker boxes. Building and resource gathering are streamlined with ore-vein harvesting, instant tree and huge-mushroom harvesting with fast leaf decay and sapling placement, quick path creation, expanded sponge absorption, and easier placement of beacon and conduit bases. Other practical changes include configurable crop replanting, expanded bone-meal uses, recycling metal-containing items in furnaces, finding minerals in stone underground, and making kelp work as bone meal. World travel and survival gain options such as campfire-based respawn points with brief fire resistance, healing campfires, smaller Nether portals, underground beacons, craftable and movable End portals, and a ritual for stopping rain. The pack also changes encounters and creature behavior: bogged, breezes, cave spiders, husks, mooshrooms, giants, skeleton horses, strays, and zombie horses can spawn naturally, while flower mimics can turn into monsters at night and spiders can produce webs. Additional creature and loot tweaks include periodic ghast tears near players, respawning shulkers, configurable mob-head drops, and the option for piglins and hoglins to survive in the Overworld. For longer-term play, Pumpkillager's Quest offers a story with custom encounters, rewards, and a boss fight, while the Dragon can drop an elytra and players can protect their death items in a chest and armor stand. The collection also includes interface and multiplayer conveniences such as HUD clocks and compasses, GUI lists of nearby tamed followers, named regions with join and leave messages, randomized village names, and configurable starter gear for new players. The pack bundles 147 of Serilum's mods and the Collective library, and its included mods can be configured, with some behaviors offering adjustable settings such as despawn times, fire spread, and mob drops.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 26.3 路 Fabric, 22 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 150 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI tool in the 150 mods we checked, and no AI content is declared for them on Modrinth.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts, code history and pull requests and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
