Adds a mod menu to view the list of mods you have installed.
No points lost.
71 of the 71 points that apply = 100 out of 100.
Mod Menu adds a screen for browsing installed mods, with a searchable list showing each mod’s icon, name, and short description alongside a detailed panel with its version, authors, and full description. The screen can be opened from the title screen or pause menu, and its controls let you sort entries alphabetically, show or hide library mods, and open a mod’s website or issue tracker when links are available. For mods that support it, a Configuration button opens their settings screen; an update checker can also flag available updates for mods hosted on Modrinth or providing their own update source. The Mods screen also supports installing a mod by dragging its .jar file into the game window, after which a restart is needed to load it. Mod Menu provides metadata and API options for mod developers to supply translated names and descriptions, organize related modules under a parent entry, add badges and links, and integrate configuration screens.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: User interfaceChanges 2 game code files in this area: menus, screens, tooltips, the chat window and the in-game overlay..
Libraries packed inside it change 71 more game code files: parts of
Fabric API.
Adds 1 key binding: Open Mod Menu.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
Sends unknown data
Sent to api.modrinth.com.
Only some of its files send unknown data.
We found this in its code, read without running it.
The author declares on Modrinth that it sends crash reports or usage data unless you turn this off.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
An AI tool was found
Where we found it is under How we checked.
One weak clue: a branch is named like those Codex creates. It does not show that the tool was used.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

These projects do not work together with Mod Menu: their authors or Mod Menu's author say so. If you install both, the game can crash or some features can stop working. Some of them do the same job as Mod Menu, so you only need one.

22,010 modpacks include Mod Menu in at least one of their versions. Here are the 30 most downloaded.
Mods that modpacks often add together with Mod Menu. Share: how many of the modpacks with Mod Menu also have that mod.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 2 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
