About
BetterSounds is a Minecraft resource pack that uses a large library of randomized and custom audio to enrich the game’s soundscapes. Weather effects include varied rain sounds, revised lightning and thunder, and thunder that differs in volume and duration; the beacon also has a custom sound and shutdown effect. It adds classic player-hurt sounds that play rarely, uses classic door sounds half the time, separates the classic bow-firing sound from sounds for snowballs and eggs, and gives the crossbow its own effect. Endermen receive custom teleport sounds, while reworked Ghast audio uses heavy reverb; Nether portals can rarely carry a distant Ghast sound and limit their own sound to an eight-block radius. Other changes include a chainmail-equip sound, realistic chicken sounds, a death sound for pigs, creepy spider sounds, custom arrow impacts, and a revised zombie-conversion sound. Footsteps on snow are crunchier, and footsteps on wood are clunkier.
