Quality Of Life is a Forge modpack that adds usability and presentation improvements while aiming to preserve Minecraft’s vanilla experience and work with vanilla servers running the same or a similar game version. Its additions cover sounds, visuals, HUDs, menus, textures, models, effects, mechanics, and gameplay tweaks, with examples including AmbientSounds 3 and BetterSounds for audio, Better Animal Models and Motschen’s Better Leaves for appearance, and Inventory HUD+ and RPG-Hud for interface information. Convenience features include inventory tools such as Mouse Tweaks, Inventory Profiles, and TrashSlot; information aids such as JEI, Just Enough Resources, Waila Harvestability, and ToroHealth Damage Indicators; and small gameplay adjustments such as SwingThroughGrass, Trample Stopper, and NetherPortalFix. The pack also includes world and visual options such as Xaero’s Minimap and World Map, Snow Under Trees, Round Trees, and the Classic 3D and Unity: Dark Edition resource packs.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 26 Mar 2021). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
3 files not listed: no matching project found.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 99 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 94 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (26 Mar 2021) in the 68 mods we checked.
4 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
26 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
