About
Tabla’s Dragons Retexture gives the Fire, Ice, and Lightning dragons from Ice and Fire: Community Edition a coordinated visual style inspired by Excalibur, while also making the species, growth stages, and male and female dragons easier to distinguish. Its twelve dragon designs draw on distinct themes: the red Fire dragon echoes Nether blocks, the green dragon takes cues from lush vegetation, and the Dune dragon has desert coloring, tattered wings, and a rattlesnake-like tail; Ice dragons include metallic Silver and gemstone-inspired Sapphire, while Lightning dragons include storm-themed Electric Blue and geode-like Amethyst. Textures change as dragons mature, with differences in color, markings, horns, and wing details helping indicate age and sex; examples include the red dragon darkening and gaining stripes at later stages, the Sapphire’s gems becoming more prominent, and the Black Lightning dragon growing darker and more star-covered. The pack also gives the dragons’ eggs species-matched colors and textures, adds selected glowing details, and reworks Fire and Ice dragon breath into smoky fire and cloudlike frozen gales. It is designed for the Community Edition version of Ice and Fire and can be used without Excalibur, although the author describes it as more immersive alongside Excalibur and the Excalibur Ice and Fire pack.
