    RETRO_VHS_Screen is a lightweight shader that gives Minecraft an old VHS recording and CRT display aesthetic, suited to horror scenes, found-footage videos, retro builds, and atmospheric gameplay without substantially changing how the game plays. Its effects include CRT scanlines, analog tape noise and film grain, chromatic aberration, tracking glitches with wavy image shifts, vintage warm color grading, soft bloom, phosphor glow, and darkened CRT-style corners; the project also describes a flickering REC effect. Retro configuration parameters are available for effects including chromatic aberration, tracking-glitch strength, bloom softness, color warmth, and phosphor glow. The shader is compatible with Iris Shaders and OptiFine and works alongside most resource packs.
