Better Days Display is a configurable survival-progression datapack that tracks each player’s survived days independently, including in multiplayer worlds. It shows the count in the action bar with an animated new-day display, and can keep the counter visible or show it only as a popup. Across 34 milestones from day 1 to day 10,000, players can receive distinctive titles and messages, thematic effects, and selected rewards, with each milestone progression awarded once per player. An in-game settings menu lets players enable or disable the counter, popups, animation and milestone events; choose white, gold, aqua, green or red; set popup duration to 2, 5 or 10 seconds; and reset their personal progression. The datapack works in vanilla or modded worlds and on multiplayer servers without requiring a mod loader or external dependencies.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Runs 124 function files: 1 every game tick and 1 when the pack loads.
Does not change world generation.
Adds 2 tags.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's recipes, loot tables and other game data.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a data pack cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A data pack has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
AI was used for its images
ChatGPT is named in the images in its files.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
