    About

    Aardvark's Mutant Bug Monsters adds mutant insects to fight and ordinary insects to collect, combining creature combat with insect collecting and gardening. Its twenty mutant monsters have distinct abilities and animations: Snakeeyes can hypnotize with its gaze, the Leafy Stalk turns invisible while still, Sinking Feeling drags surface swimmers underwater, and Crushing Frost can throw players. The insects can be crafted into gems that grant abilities, such as the Loamy gem made from a mole cricket, which lets its user burrow rapidly through gravel. Players can also craft special flowers to attract insects, cultivate plants for particular insects, and display their collection as taxidermy. Bug-derived equipment and materials include fall-breaking umbrellas, floating inner tubes, wings that boost movement through the air, and claws that dig through soil. Some creatures also drop useful items, including a floating ring from Sinking Feeling and a stinger from Lumberrack that can serve as an axe.
