Ice and Fire brings dragons and other mythical creatures into Minecraft, giving players a world to explore as dragon hunters, tamers, and riders. Fire Dragons roam habitable regions and attack with flames, Ice Dragons dwell in cold places and freeze prey, and nocturnal Lightning Dragons strike with blasting bolts. The wider bestiary includes Hippogryphs, Gorgons, Pixies, Cyclopes, Sirens, Hippocampi, Death Worms, Cockatrices, Stymphalian Birds, Trolls, Myrmex, Amphitheres, Sea Serpents, Dread Liches, Hydras, and Ghosts. These creatures appear in distinctive habitats and encounters, from dragon roosts and underground caves to Cyclops caves, Hydra caves, Myrmex hives, Pixie villages, Siren islands, graveyards, and mausoleums. Dragon lairs offer battles and treasure, while dragon skeletons provide bones and eggs can be found in caves. Players can tame and ride dragons, equip them with armor, and craft tools and weapons from their bones and armor from their scales. A bestiary and information-gathering lectern help players learn about the creatures and the world. World generation and biome placement can be customized, including for modded biomes, and datapacks can adjust cave ores and which blocks dragons may break.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: World generationChanges 2 game code files in this area: terrain, biomes and structures made when new land is created..
Adds 125 blocks, 309 items, 60 entities, 3 structures, 409 recipes, 38 advancements, 64 loot tables and 126 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
An AI tool may have been used
GitHub Copilot (code review) took part in its pull requests.
This does not show that it was used to make the files you download.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
