Aieau's traps adds vanilla-style traps and trick items for defending against mobs, building redstone-triggered setups, and pranking other players. Its traps include reusable bear traps that immobilize and damage entities, with amethyst and automatic variants; inexpensive, hard-to-spot glass shards; and the redstone-only primer, a weaker explosive that detonates instantly for compact TNT chains. Other defenses and triggers include the electrap, which calls down lightning on nearby mobs without damaging terrain, sculk eyes and transmitters for remote redstone activation, void water that pulls swimmers under, and a soul core that summons a temporary hostile sentinel. An amethyst alarm sends its placer a chat message when triggered, while the sabotaging table lets players poison food using items such as TNT, blaze rods, pufferfish, or glass shards and also serves as the workbench for trapper villagers who trade trap supplies for emeralds. For pranks, players can wear an anonymous mask to hide their skin, username, and death messages, activate a warden heart to create darkness and play Warden sounds, or use four airhorn variants that imitate an explosion, creeper, or ghast, or play a fanfare and server message. Other trick items include sand spray, paralysing darts fired from a blowgun, and inkballs, which hinder targets with effects such as blindness, weakness, slowness, or limited movement. The mod also provides countermeasures: glowballs reveal nearby entities, lapis cookies quickly remove status effects, and lapis gum grants temporary immunity to potion effects.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 23 blocks, 23 items, 1 mob, 36 recipes, 8 advancements, 3 loot tables and 5 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
