About
Zombie Awareness makes selected hostile mobs track and investigate players using blood scent, sound, and exposed light sources. Injuries leave visible blood on the ground, and players at low health periodically bleed, attracting nearby monsters. Many actions can reveal a player's position, including mining, placing blocks, explosions, firing bows or crossbows, eating, using doors and containers, and activating mechanisms; louder sounds have a stronger effect. Monsters can spot exposed light sources from far away and investigate them when they have line of sight. The enhanced mobs can be chosen in configuration; the default list includes zombies, husks, creepers, skeletons, strays, witches, and zombie villagers, with some modded mobs potentially supported. An optional surface-horde feature gathers mobs into groups that wander across the terrain.
