    About

    Annotated DI is a dependency-injection library for Forge mods that wraps Guice with Minecraft-focused utilities, helping developers structure mod code and APIs around interfaces while keeping implementations separate. Its central @Implementation annotation automatically binds an interface to its implementation, so modders can avoid both a large manual bindings configuration and a compile-time dependency from an API to its implementation. The library provides a separate injector for each mod, with access to bindings from its dependencies, and lets developers register custom Guice modules before an injector is created for advanced configuration. Developers can also use Guice constructor injection, mark implementations as singletons, define named alternatives such as a special MonsterFactory, and limit implementations to particular runtime environments or optional mod dependencies. The library is intended for mod and API development rather than adding standalone gameplay content; on its own, it appears in the mod list but does not provide features for players.
