A fantasy/medieval themed modpack with an emphasis on bosses, magic and fun.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 149 graded mods, 106 are graded A or B, 36 C and 7 D to F. Its last update came out 2.3 years ago, for Minecraft 1.20.6. See the mods
OccultCraft is a fantasy and medieval-themed modpack built around magic, tougher combat, and a quest-led challenge to defeat the main bosses and earn their titles, while leaving players free to pursue other goals. Its activities include choosing a player origin, dealing with curses and blessings, exploring dungeons, fighting corruption and dragons, and crafting custom spells and potions through magic, brewing, and alchemy. Players can visit other dimensions, prove themselves to magic schools, become vampires, werewolves, or ghosts, and harness the powers of seeds, with later challenges including broken enchantments and ascending to godhood. In the third edition, access to the Nether, Twilight, and End is tied to boss progression: defeating the Bellringer, Swampjaw, and Wither unlocks those dimensions respectively.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20 · Forge, 18 Jul 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 18 Jul 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 147 of its 150 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 137 of its 141 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 12 of the 113 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
28 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
