Bad Effects makes everyday survival hazards and actions more punishing by adding negative status effects and damage to a Minecraft playthrough. Heatstroke can follow prolonged burning in a hot biome, while frostbite follows extended exposure to cold biomes without a nearby heat source; staying above the build limit, drowning, or becoming stuck in a wall can also cause effects such as Nausea, Wither, or Mining Fatigue. Fall damage can cause Slowness and, after a harder fall, Wither; explosion damage can cause Slowness and Nausea, and head impacts while flying can bring brief Blindness and Nausea. Eating food carries a chance of Poison and Nausea, with raw food more likely to cause food poisoning, while magic damage can trigger brief Blindness and cactus or berry-bush damage can cause Poison, with armor reducing or preventing the latter effects. Other hazards include hand injuries from breaking logs, glass, or glass panes bare-handed, with Wither possible from glass, and fatigue from staying awake for more than three days, which worsens if the player remains awake. Killing a villager or iron golem can inflict Bad Luck, which may cause random lightning strikes. The effects can be disabled individually through configuration, and the mod can run server-side without requiring clients to install it.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Not checked yet
Its author does not let other sites download its files from CurseForge, so we cannot check them.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We have not read its code yet
What it sends is not known yet.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images, sounds and code history yet.
AI in the game: not checked yet
We have not read its code for AI yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
