A tougher survival world with quests, new tools, and harsh weather.

HardRock TerraFirmaCraft 3 is an expert-focused survival modpack that reshapes TerraFirmaCraft into a demanding, quest-guided progression from primitive tools to advanced industry and space exploration. Survival requires managing thirst, food, health, and body temperature while coping with seasonal growing, food spoilage, dangerous wildlife, underground undead hordes, mine collapses, and severe weather including tornadoes. Players begin with stone tools, search across biomes and dimensions for dispersed metal deposits, and develop metallurgy and practical skills such as farming, butchering, and blacksmithing through long, heavily reworked recipes and production chains. Food production calls for fertilizing and tending crops, building greenhouses for year-round harvests, raising and domesticating livestock in breeding pairs, and preserving perishables by salting, smoking, pickling with vinegar, or storing them in a cellar. The technology path advances from Create’s kinetic machines through Immersive Engineering and Mekanism machinery to Beyond Earth’s space technology, with transportation options including animal carts, backpacks, ships, railways, and airships. Exploration extends through the Nether, End, Twilight Forest, and the Moon, Mars, and Venus, where players seek new materials and metals. The pack also features a dedicated butchering system, hide processing, medical remedies made from plants, and a quest system with tutorial books to guide its interconnected mechanics.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.18.2 · Forge, 5 Jan 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 4 Nov 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 269 of its 277 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 264 of its 271 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 16 of the 203 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
68 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
