    About

    Better Boats adds vanilla-styled longboats as larger, more capable alternatives to ordinary boats, designed to carry goods, passengers and livestock on water expeditions. Available in all six vanilla wood types, each longboat has a chest, space for three passengers and a built-in item frame; its wider deck can be walked on and can carry large animals such as horses. Banners can be fitted as patterned sails, which help propel the boat according to the weather, while the chest slots also allow optional attachments or general storage. Maps placed in the designated item-frame slot are displayed and track the boat's position, making it easier to find again. Boats can be personalized with five figureheads: a plain spar, ender dragon, creeper, skeleton or wither, each available in vanilla wood types.
