MineColonies is a building and colony-management mod for creating a thriving town, with settlements that can be adapted to different biomes and built in places such as mountains, underwater, or in the sky. You direct NPC workers across a broad range of jobs, including builders, farmers, fishers, foresters, guards, miners, smelters, bakers, cooks, couriers, and animal herders, whose work supports the colony’s needs. Workers also handle production and crafting: for example, bakers make wheat-based foods, blacksmiths craft tools, weapons, and armor, sawmill workers process wood, and stonemasons work with stone and clay. The colony is developed through specialized buildings such as a Warehouse, House, Town Hall, Barracks, Library, University, and School, alongside decorations including walls, parks, and fountains. The mod also features automation and defense structures, with raids adding a threat for colonies to face.
Written from Modrinth , CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 86 blocks, 146 items, 2 mobs, 35 other entities, 16 structures, 1 enchantment, at least 62 advancements and 1 key binding.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 2 web addresses while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
