    About

    Better Horse Movement overhauls riding controls so horses turn toward their direction of travel rather than always facing the player, rotate gradually instead of changing direction instantly, and accelerate gently for smoother movement. Riders can make horses sprint for greater speed, though sprinting makes them turn more slowly; non-undead horses can also swim without dismounting their riders, and horses no longer rear or randomly stop moving. The mod adds leaning while riding, including a stronger lean when drawing a bow to aim downward from horseback, and subtle head bobbing as a horse moves. Configuration options cover the riding behaviors and the distribution and range of wild horses' health, jumping, and speed stats; breeding can also use the parents' average stats with a configurable modifier and cap instead of adding a third random horse's stats. Horse hitboxes are slightly smaller while retaining roughly the same space requirements.
