Better Party adds an MMORPG-style party system to Minecraft, helping players find companions and coordinate while exploring, building, trading, fighting bosses, tackling dungeons, or playing PvP. Players can browse and search public groups, or create public, invite-only, and password-protected parties in categories such as Adventure, Building, PvP, and Trading, with server-controlled limits of up to ten members. Parties have Leader, Officer, and Member roles, with configurable officer permissions, member promotion and removal, leadership transfer, and invitations that reserve available spaces while a visible countdown runs. Parties can persist across disconnects and server restarts, and each party can also be linked to a Minecraft scoreboard team so membership, names, and friendly-fire settings stay synchronized without taking over unrelated teams. Leaders can enable nearby experience sharing, which divides collected XP among eligible members and rotates any indivisible points fairly, and can control whether party members may damage one another, subject to server rules. A party locator can reveal fully obstructed teammates as a dot, player head, or outline, while assigning each member a distinct color used across the interface and locator. The customizable live HUD can show player heads and names, levels, health bars and values, armor, optional hunger, online status, party colors, and the leader crown; a visual editor lets each player move, resize, and arrange it horizontally or vertically. Party chat appears in normal Minecraft chat, and server owners can set shared rules for features such as party size, persistence, XP sharing, friendly-fire protection, locator privacy, and vanilla team integration.

Changes the game's code in 3 areas: World renderingChanges 1 game code file in this area: drawing the terrain, sky, clouds and weather., Mobs and their behaviorChanges 1 game code file in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act. and Rendering and graphicsChanges 1 game code file in this area: drawing mobs, items, particles and textures on screen..
Adds 1 key binding: Open Party Menu.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its images, text and assets
The author declares AI assets and text on Modrinth.
OpenAI gpt-image is named in the images in its files.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
