About
Betterlands expands the badlands with new natural resources, wildlife, food, and building materials intended to make the biome more scenic and survivable. Juniper trees grow on red sand and sometimes on plateaus, providing juniper wood and the sole source of juniper berries, while fossil rocks in badlands and eroded badlands yield bone and other fossil-related items when mined. Bighorn sheep inhabit wooded badlands plateaus and can be bred with wilting bushes; they provide meat, hide for leather-tier armor, and large horns for crafting a horned cap, and they become aggressive when hurt. For construction, the mod adds terracotta bricks in block, stair, slab, and wall forms, plus terracotta pavement with stair and slab variants that slightly boosts the speed of mobs walking across it.
