Biome Backlog brings content inspired by the 2018 and 2019 biome votes for the Badlands, Savanna, and Desert into Minecraft. In the Badlands, pear cacti grow through three stages and can hurt when mined, while stripped pear cacti yield cactus pads and prickly pears; nine cactus pads can be crafted into leather, and prickly pears restore a heart when eaten. Tumbleweed seeds can be planted on dirt or sand, and tumbleweeds may plant a seed when they hit a mob before dropping a seed and disappearing on a second hit. A vulture fed rotten flesh will appear at the player's death location and keep their dropped items from despawning. Savanna additions include baobab leaves, trunks, and bark, plus baobab fruit that provides substantial saturation; termite mound blocks can strip nearby logs at random, while paper can convert adjacent logs into termite mounds. Ostriches defend their eggs from players who mine them and attack nearby monsters, can step over fences, shed feathers, and drop meat and leather when killed; their eggs hatch through three stages into baby ostriches. Desert-themed additions include a palm wood set with hanging leaves, date fruit that can be eaten or made into vinegar, and coconut blocks that can be tapped with a bucket for milk and two halves. Palm wood blocks and boats have increased blast resistance and deflect arrows, while dates can be made into vinegar that bleaches blocks or reacts with calcite to produce a fizzing effect, collectible in a bottle as calcite powder that can be crafted into calcite. Coconut halves can be processed into edible chunks and shells; shells can be smelted into charcoal or crafted into bowls, and chunks can be combined with sugar to make desiccated coconut. Palm leaves can be crafted into thatch and thatch stairs, and salt comes as decorative blocks including bricks, tiles, chiseled blocks, and lamps that let light through despite appearing opaque. Salt can be placed like redstone dust and prevents undead mobs from pathfinding over it, while succulents come in 16 colors and four shape variants. Meerkats spawn in groups that fight other groups; leaders dig burrows in sand, which the group can enter, and meerkats have a standing animation.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 45 blocks, 22 items, 3 mobs, 2 boats, 3 other entities, 55 recipes and 1 loot table.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
