Catch, collect, and catalog lifelike butterflies across the world.

Butterfly Mania adds 220 butterflies for players to find, catch, study, and display. The butterflies have distinct spawning grounds and behaviors: they wander, feed, rest, glide, sleep, flee from players, chase one another, and hide from rain, while some dance around glowstone at night. Catch them with a net, or keep a jar in your inventory to catch them alive; caught butterflies can be kept as pets that do not naturally despawn, while dead catches can be made into paintings in wooden, lapis, or iron frames. The Butterfly Encyclopedia catalogs butterflies caught from the world and provides details, including real-life information; entries include species such as the Northern Brown Argus, Jutta Arctic, Pearl charaxes, Comma, Purplish Copper, and Common Brimstone. Use a magnifying glass to examine dead butterflies for clues about where undiscovered species may spawn, or study butterflies to produce research papers that can yield spawning-data fragments for undiscovered butterflies in the same family and of similar or greater rarity. Players can build butterfly houses or hang their catches as trophies, share encyclopedia information in multiplayer, and trade diamonds with entomologist villagers for rare butterflies.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.8.9.
Adds 1 sound: Pageflip.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.8.9.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
Sends unknown data
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.8.9.
Sent to an address built while the game runs.
We found this in its code, read without running it.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
