Caves & Creatures expands cave exploration with three themed biomes built around distinctive environments, collectible plants, and creatures that players can tame as pets. The Ancient Lush Caves combine blue water, sandy lakes, mud ponds, and dangerous tar pits with hybrids such as Frogbats, Spider Snakes, Jaucans, and the marine reptiles Liopleurodon and Ophthalmosaurus; Spider Snakes can inflict paralytic venom. The Deserted Depths is a candy-themed cave with colorful sugar sand that stays in place rather than falling like concrete powder, and creatures including Sweet Sabers, Candy Corn Mice, Ice Cream Crabs, Sugar Skull Snails, and Popturtles. Its edible finds are interactive: players can harvest ice cream from stalks with a bowl, add sprinkles to make sprinkled ice cream, and pick cherries and lollipops from bushes. The dark Luminous Caves feature bioluminescent sand that lights beneath players’ feet, functional plants, and creatures such as Lumanta Rays, Moonlit Frogbats, Click Beetles, and Glowfish. Across the biomes, the ancient axolotl-like Salotls are a major collecting feature, with many varieties, including luminous, winged, floral, skeletal, and dessert-themed designs; they can be carried in buckets and have different taming foods depending on their type. Most tameable creatures can be instructed to sit, wander, or stay using a stick, while select animals can also be saddled for riding. A new villager, the Collector, offers rare items through trades.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: World generationChanges 1 game code file in this area: terrain, biomes and structures made when new land is created..
Adds 340 blocks, 678 items, 308 entities, 3 biomes, 15 structures, 114 recipes, 10 loot tables and 10 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
