Chef's Workbench adds a functional kitchen system for preparing food through stove cooking, frying, baking, steaming, and boiling, using specialized blocks rather than relying on a single furnace. Its blocks include a fuel-burning Stove that cooks food and can yield a byproduct, a Pan and Pot heated on the Stove, an Oven with its own fuel slot, a Bamboo Steamer, and a Counter for kitchen surfaces. The Pan can fry up to four items independently or use them together in a combined recipe, while the Pot combines as many as six ingredients into one output. The Oven bakes in eight independent slots, each accepting up to a stack of one item; larger stacks take longer and scale output and experience. The Bamboo Steamer cooks in four independent slots using heat from the Stove below, and the Stove itself can produce a main result alongside an optional byproduct. Players and datapack authors can add or replace recipes for every cooking station and adjust cooking times and experience without modifying the mod jar.
Written from Modrinth , CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 6 blocks: Bamboo Steamer, Counter, Oven, Pan, Pot and Stove; 1 sound: Frying; 33 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
