CompositeGear adds composite-alloy armor, weapons, respirators and colorable clothing to Minecraft, with crafting and integration options for major tech mods including IC2, TechReborn, Immersive Engineering and Thermal Foundation. Its composite armor progresses through light, medium and heavy tiers, with stronger protection at higher tiers; armor parts can be dyed, and IC2 integration lets the armor work with a Magnetizer. The weapon selection includes a club, dagger, mace and sword for close combat, plus reinforced and composite bows for ranged attacks. Respirators and gasmasks can replenish underwater oxygen using air cells, while the heavy composite helmet also has air-mask functionality. Colorable warm clothing includes a balaclava, ushanka, wool jersey, wool pants and felt boots; with Tough As Nails it provides warmth, and with AppleCore it can reduce hunger in cold biomes. A shemagh mask can reduce hunger in hot biomes when AppleCore is installed, and the mod’s integrations can be toggled in its configuration.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.12.2.
Adds 64 recipes and 10 loot tables.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
