    About

    Create: Rock & Stone adds underground resource deposits and customizable mining contraptions, bringing a factory-style way to extract resources from the world. Its Miner Bearing lets players build large miners and augment them with attachments, while the Mine Head performs the mining and can be upgraded from a single block to a 3×3 head by placing it next to a 3×3 layer of iron blocks. A Deposit Scanner helps locate deposits: its antennas flash in sync when pointed in the right direction, flash faster as the miner gets closer, and can indicate whether a deposit is above or below nearby. The deposits include vanilla resources such as coal, iron, copper, zinc, gold, lapis and redstone, as well as Nether gold and quartz; when supported modded ores are present, matching deposits can be added automatically, with examples including tin, lead, nickel, silver, uranium, thorium, cobalt and wolframite. Mining yields and rates depend on deposit size and miner attachments, with calculated rates shown in a tooltip, and detailed Ponder scenes explain the mining process. World-generation frequency can be adjusted with four included datapack flavors, while KubeJS or plain datapacks can further customize which deposits appear, their spacing, mining recipes and speed, claimable area, catalysts and scanning distance. Found deposits can appear as map icons through Xaero’s World Map or JourneyMap, and Create Aeronautics supports mining with physics contraptions.
