Invite friends to your world through Steam, without router setup.

e4steam lets you open a singleplayer Minecraft world to friends through Steam, or connect players to a dedicated server, using Steam peer-to-peer networking and Valve relays instead of requiring a public IP address or port forwarding. Hosts can choose Steam Friends or Invite Only access, then invite through Steam or share a short e4steam address; dedicated servers provide a separate address for players to enter in Minecraft. Minecraft TCP traffic travels over the Steam connection, with supported voice-chat UDP traffic as well; Simple Voice Chat is detected automatically, and Plasmo Voice works when it shares Minecraft’s port. For headless dedicated servers, the same mod JAR runs without a personal Steam account, desktop Steam client, or Game Server Login Token on the server machine. The mod also provides an addon API for extending e4steam, and the e4steam Friends addon adds a Minecraft-style Steam friends screen with presence, search, invitations, joining, and join requests.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 4 areas, as a library other mods build on: User interfaceChanges 5 game code files in this area: menus, screens, tooltips, the chat window and the in-game overlay., Server and world logicChanges 4 game code files in this area: the world, commands, scoreboards, saved data and game rules., Networking and multiplayerChanges 3 game code files in this area: connections, the server list and what is sent between your game and a server. and PlayerChanges 1 game code file in this area: your character: movement, abilities, hunger and controls..
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
Sends unknown data
Sent to an address built while the game runs.
We found this in its code, read without running it.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its images
OpenAI gpt-image is named in the images in its files.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
