An unofficial port of Presence Footsteps from Fabric to Forge

Presence Footsteps is an unofficial Forge port of the original Fabric mod, bringing its dynamic walking sounds to players using Forge. It assigns sounds by block material, so wooden chests creak, stone sounds dusty and rough, piston heads sound wooden while their bodies sound stony, and grass rustles underfoot. It also adds footsteps for some non-block entities: shulkers make creaky box sounds, boats sound wooden, and armour stands creak and sound stony as you walk across their slab base. The included sound pack provides sounds and material mappings for vanilla blocks, and resource packs can replace it or be used alongside it; at least one sound pack must be enabled. For modded blocks, the mod infers sounds from their vanilla material or sound types, while creators can add direct mappings for blocks with distinctive sounds. Its configuration is compatible with the original Fabric mod, making it easier to switch between the two versions.

Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

These projects do not work together with Presence Footsteps (Forge): their authors or the author of Presence Footsteps (Forge) say so. If you install both, the game can crash or some features can stop working. Some of them do the same job as Presence Footsteps (Forge), so you only need one.
