About
Ecospherical Expansion reshapes Overworld biome generation to create more varied biomes and visually distinctive landscapes, while offering custom world presets and support for the Large Biomes and Amplified presets. In the default world, surface terrain remains vanilla-like, but caves are more open and oceans connect to sprawling cave systems; Large Biomes creates much larger biomes and broad, smooth plateaus. Amplified worlds extend to Y512, keep oceans at Y63 and below, and feature strongly varied terrain with small floating islands above it. The floating-island presets range from Tropospherical’s sparse islands above an ocean-covered world to Stratospherical’s dense, multi-layered islands above a void, with OG Stratospherical adding especially dense, vertical terrain without floating-island rivers. Mesospherical uses one moderately spaced island layer, Thermospherical has two sparse, vertically varied layers, and Exospherical features multiple layers with pointed undersides. Lithospherical replaces the world with one massive cave system, while Asthenospherical combines a huge ceiling with a dense layer of small floating islands; both begin on a small oak-log platform and lower world height to Y128. Tropospherical, Stratospherical, Mesospherical, Thermospherical, Lithospherical, Asthenospherical and Exospherical also transform the Nether, while OG Stratospherical leaves it unchanged. The mod is compatible with Biospherical Expansion and Biomes O’ Plenty, and incompatible with Terralith.
