SkyBlock survival with sieves, barrels, and ways to grow resources.

Ex Deorum is a SkyBlock companion mod that brings Ex Nihilo-style resource generation to a void-world start, with a built-in SkyBlock world type and a configurable starting torch and wooden watering can. Its core tools and blocks support a resource progression built around sieving, composting, crucibles, and fluid transformations: sieve gravel for materials, compost items such as apples and carrots into dirt, melt leaves into water or stone into lava, and use barrel recipes such as mixing dust with water to make clay or combining water and lava to make obsidian. Six mesh tiers, from String and Flint through Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Netherite, determine sieve options and drops; for example, a Diamond Mesh can sift red sand for raw gold, while a crook can yield silkworms from leaves. Silkworms infest trees, including modded trees, and their leaves change color as the infestation spreads. Barrels can also transform water into Witch Water over a catalyst such as Mycelium, with up to nine catalyst blocks in a 3-by-3 area speeding the process and the recipe potentially producing mushrooms as byproducts. Watering cans offer a six-tier alternative to bone meal for accelerating plant growth. Recipes are data-pack based, and the default recipes cover Vanilla items; the mod also provides JEI support for its blocks and KubeJS functions for customization. Modpack authors can register custom Sieve, Barrel, and Crucible types, then supply their models, textures, recipes, and loot data through resource packs and data packs.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Adds 169 blocks, 74 items, 2,115 recipes, 5 advancements and 11 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
exdeorum-1.42.jar, CurseForge exdeorum-1.42.jar. 2 classes changed, in thedarkcolour.exdeorum.loot: MachineLootFunction$LootSerializer, MachineLootFunction.We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
One weak clue: a branch is named like those Claude Code creates. It does not show that the tool was used.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Mods that modpacks often add together with Ex Deorum. Share: how many of the modpacks with Ex Deorum also have that mod.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 1 release needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
