Exotic Critters expands Minecraft with around 100 unusual creatures, including troublesome wildlife, dangerous enemies, and three high-difficulty bosses, spread across dimensions and biomes. It also adds three distinctive biomes: Tall Grasses, a swamp-like landscape where dense vegetation hampers visibility; Dead Forest, an enchanted woodland beneath blood-red skies that becomes especially perilous at night; and Endongo Forest, a fungus-covered realm with small houses, a strange liquid, and a floating island that holds a boss. Exploration includes ruined settlements and other structures, such as the monster-infested remains of Dead Town, as well as chests, unusual blocks, and resources to discover. The mod includes missions, crops, crafting, food, minerals, tools, and armor, with equipment offering distinct abilities: Flutonium armor improves movement and jumping, while the Aegi helmet grants underwater breathing and the Mantis helmet provides night vision when powered by redstone. Specialized weapons and tools add practical combat and exploration options, including a saw sword that can fell and strip trees, disable shields, and inflict bleeding, plus staves for precise teleportation, webs, distant lighting, and temporarily placing water. Some creatures can be tamed, and the Golden Apple on a Stick lets players control plasma mishi; the mod can also be played on servers with friends.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.15 to 1.16.5.
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 202 blocks, 358 items, 181 entities, 4 biomes, 1 dimension, 292 recipes, 50 advancements and 20 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.15 to 1.16.5.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.15 to 1.16.5.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
