A collection of fantasy-themed creatures intended to flesh out the world of Minecraft a bit.

Fantasy Fauna adds fantasy-themed creatures to Minecraft, including mushroom beings, a moss-covered rock creature, wisps, and winged eyeballs. Mushcaps mimic familiar mushrooms and hide from threats by drawing in their limbs and rooting themselves to the ground; after consuming enough rotten organic matter, they reproduce by budding. Their types include red and brown Mushcaps in Overworld forests and Nether wastes, crimson and warped varieties in their matching Nether forests, glowing Mushcaps underground, and the rarer Vishroom in Overworld forests. Mushcaps drop mushrooms or fungi matching their type, while glowing Mushcaps and Vishrooms can drop mod-specific items when compatible mods are present, or glow squid ink and purple dye otherwise; Vishrooms also cause nausea on contact. Mushmaa are stronger, longer-lived relatives of Mushcaps that protect and care for them. Mossoliths can wear blocks on their heads, hide beneath them, and carry both a block and a player on top, while showing an apparent attraction to mossy cobblestone. Wisps are normally harmless orbs of sentient energy that become hostile to nearby players when injured, and they commonly drop glowstone dust with a rare chance of essence. Wisp essence can be crafted into a lantern that keeps darkness at bay wherever it is carried. Eyebats are giant eyeballs with bat wings and pointed tails that usually appear in packs in wide-open areas and attack if provoked.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 2 blocks, 17 items, 15 mobs, 4 other entities, 1 recipe, 1 loot table and 4 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
