fapdos' Aquatic Additions expands Minecraft’s existing ocean biomes with fish and other sea creatures, underwater plants and decorations, and new items and blocks, without adding biomes or dimensions. Its creatures include Orcas, Lion’s Mane Jellyfish, Man O’ War, Blue Dragon Slugs, Narwhals, Anglerfish, Ship Ghosts, and the leviathan monsters Lobsterion and Zumusiasal; many of the mobs can be caught in a water bucket. The mod adds ocean finds such as colorful Clams that yield Pearls, Harp Sponges, Tube Worms in several sizes, and pink or orange Sea Pens. Pearls can be made into Spiky Traps that damage entities crossing them, even underwater, while craftable Water Machines provide Haste or Mining Fatigue in an underwater area around them. Creature drops also support crafting and survival: fish and crustacean meats can be cooked, Jelly Slime is used in glowing potions and other recipes, and Strange Salad restores the player’s hunger. Other rewards include a Narwhal Horn that briefly grants Water Breathing underwater and a weapon made from Ship Ghost drops that deals extra damage to undead creatures. The Lonely Ship, a structure found in ocean biomes other than frozen oceans, is home to hostile Ship Ghosts.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 21 blocks, 118 items, 64 entities, 11 structures, 1 enchantment, 35 recipes and 7 advancements.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
