About
FastCraft is an optional optimization mod that improves Minecraft client and server performance without changing gameplay, and it works on either side independently. It targets frame rate and simulation performance, reduces lag spikes associated with world generation, lighting calculations, and chunk loading, and can speed up chunk loading, rendering, and game startup. It can also reduce memory use by around 200 MB in modded setups and slightly lower network bandwidth in some scenarios, though the results depend on the computer, mods, world, and setup.
