About
Flash's NPCs lets map makers and server owners add interactive characters to Minecraft worlds, with approachable tools for building and customizing NPCs. NPCs can be given names, visible nameplates, poses, player-style textures, dialogue, colored dialogue text, held items, armor, and up to three-axis scaling; they can also be rendered as different mob types and given an optional title beneath their name. A visual dialogue editor links conversation nodes with player choices and NPC responses, and supports player and NPC name substitutions in dialogue text. Dialogue nodes can run commands or reusable custom functions, with built-in options for branching on quest progress or scoreboard values, opening trades, playing sounds, and choosing a random response path. NPCs can offer up to 12 trades, each exchanging as many as three input items for as many as three output items, without the stock limits or experience rewards of villager trading. The quest editor supports repeatable or one-time quests, optional and hidden objectives, progress tracking, command-based completion actions, and experience or item rewards. Quest tasks include gathering or crafting items, killing entities, delivering items to entities or locations, finding areas, talking to NPCs, using items on blocks or entities, and meeting scoreboard targets; players can track quests, return to turn them in, and receive their rewards. NPC textures can also be loaded from texture packs, and files placed in the mod's global folder are available across worlds.
