Fantastic Frontier is a dark-fantasy RPG modpack that brings exploration, town life, character progression, custom technology, and escalating threats together in a world with its own history and story. Little Hope serves as the central hub, where traders, services, NPC questlines, and guild work connect dungeon expeditions and wilderness discoveries to the pack’s progression. Its Big Raku economy prices more than 28,000 items and blocks for sale, so loot and gathered materials can fund purchases and further exploration; it also includes a stock-market system. Guild contracts range from deliveries and supply gathering to encounters and Slayer-style tasks, with reputation and increasingly difficult tiers shaping the work. The Frontier Codex provides distinct class routes with skill trees, mastery, rebirths, and other long-term progression, including roles such as Titan, Rogue, Archer, Engineer, and Saint Knight. Players can build an industrial base with Frontier Works machines such as pulverizers, furnaces, oil pumps, circuit assembly lines, refineries, and orbital fabrication facilities. The orbital NEMESIS system reacts to activity and infrastructure: machinery and exposed bases can attract attention, while measures such as jammers, decoys, reinforced cover, and underground shelter can help counter it. Entropi adds a pressure and containment layer to Apotheosis enchanting, with structure components and readouts that make powerful enchantments harder to obtain. Custom dungeons, hidden locations, journals, artifacts, and remnants of old machinery reveal story through exploration, while altered encounters and boss content provide distinctive challenges. Combat features custom weapons, relics, class abilities, Epic Fight work, and the Frontier Storm, a reimagined Wither Storm encounter with its own presentation. One class route, Doomed, is optional and adds a body-simulation survival system with diagnostics and treatments for conditions such as bleeding, fractures, infection, and radiation.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 16 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
5 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 16 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 247 of its 248 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 245 of its 247 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 6 of the 220 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
11 other mods show AI use only from after this release (16 Sep 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
27 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
