About
Hbm's Nuclear Tech Mod expands Minecraft with a technology and atomic-science progression centered on building industrial systems and developing nuclear weapons. Its large tech tree spans machines for ore processing, parts assembly, oil refining and utility work, with production steps such as enriching uranium and synthesizing explosives before crafting missiles and bombs. Power and heat systems include reactors such as the Chicago Pile, RBMK and fusion reactor, as well as generators and heat-producing machines that supply equipment such as engines. Players can construct nuclear bombs, missiles, artillery, guns, turrets, traps and other defenses, and use machinery such as mining lasers as part of their industrial setup. Exploration leads to abandoned structures and dungeons, including desert reactor compounds fenced off amid raw nuclear-waste barrels and extreme radiation. Radiation is one of several environmental hazards, alongside flammable gases and lung diseases, so hazardous sites and materials make protection an important part of play. The mod also supports machine monitoring and control through OpenComputers, and its use of the Ore Dictionary lets equivalent materials work across many tech mods.
