A hardcore tech modpack where you survive and progress through ages.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 104 graded mods, 27 are graded A or B, 16 C and 61 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.7.10. See the mods
The Age of Technological Progression is a hardcore expert-style tech modpack built around demanding survival and age-based progression, with more than 170 quests guiding players through tasks that unlock items and blocks. The world begins harshly: natural disasters and smarter mobs threaten poorly designed bases, while early mining replaces pickaxes with dynamite and custom recipes make familiar crafting routes more complex. Its environmental systems include seasonal weather with winter snow and summer melt, localized storms and tornadoes, wildfires and floods, flowing water and lava, and a self-sustaining ecosystem where trees spread, rot and fall while animals breed and can eventually die of age or starvation. Custom rock strata and ore placement, cave-ins, a semi-custom world generator, and dimensions stacked beneath the Overworld and Nether add distinctive exploration and mining challenges. As progression advances, players can explore space, build machines and reactors, create nuclear weapons, ships and airships, and eventually make custom dimensions; the Terraformer can reshape Overworld areas with chosen biome combinations. The pack also supports building a craftable NPC army: its six standard factions and two special factions, Herobrine and Bison, fight one another, and the pack’s difficulty increases over time. Hardcore Questing Mode limits lives, though recipes allow extra lives, and the ultimate challenge described by the pack is reaching creative mode through progression rather than cheats.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.7.10 · Forge, 9 Jan 2019). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
5 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 7 Jan 2019 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 109 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 109 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (9 Jan 2019) in the 48 mods we checked.
2 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
61 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
