HexDebug is a Hex Casting addon for finding bugs in hexes and editing them, combining an in-game Splicing Table with a debugger that connects through the Debug Adapter Protocol to VSCode or another compatible editor. The debugger can step through a hex pattern by pattern, with step-in, step-out, step-over, continue, restart, and stop controls, and can pause at selected patterns or when an uncaught mishap occurs. While debugging, you can inspect the stack, ravenmind, evaluated pattern count, and call stack, including the continuation used by complex meta-evaluating hexes. The Splicing Table displays list iotas and provides controls to select, move, duplicate, delete, undo, and redo edits, as well as copy, cut, and paste through a secondary item; a miniature staff grid lets you draw patterns directly into the list. HexDebug also supports multiplayer debugging, with each player able to run one active debugger instance at a time.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: User interfaceChanges 1 game code file in this area: menus, screens, tooltips, the chat window and the in-game overlay. and Server and world logicChanges 1 game code file in this area: the world, commands, scoreboards, saved data and game rules..
Adds 3 blocks: Mindsplice Table, Focal Frame and Splicing Table; 4 items: Debugger, Evaluator, Quenched Debugger and Quenched Evaluator; 8 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files without running them.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We have not read its code yet
The file checks found code that connects to the internet (see Security). What it sends is not known yet.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
Point at or tap a version to see its loaders.
Modpacks that include HexDebug in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
Mods that modpacks often add together with HexDebug. Share: how many of the modpacks with HexDebug also have that mod.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 1 release needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
