Use hand-cranked and animal-powered machines to make useful materials.

Horse Powered adds pre-industrial machinery for processing materials by hand early on, then automating work with leashable animals walking around powered machines. Its hand-operated grindstone and chopping block lead to animal-powered versions for continuous milling and bulk wood processing, while the grindstone can turn grain into flour, bones into bonemeal, and ores into dust, and the chopper converts logs to planks and planks to sticks. A horse press extracts fluids or makes other outputs, with examples including seed oil from seeds, honey from honeycomb, and water from ice; separate input and output tanks allow fluids to be piped without mixing. A passive 2x2 drying rack works without an animal, drying items such as kelp, wet sponges, rotten flesh, mud, clay, and saplings over time. For rock processing, the granite anvil uses pickaxe swings to crush materials, including turning stone into cobblestone, basalt into gravel, and gravel into sand. Workers can include horses, donkeys, mules, llamas, and other leashable mobs configured as valid workers; attached animals are safely stored by the machine and respawn with their data intact if it is broken. The Generator converts an animal's labor into Forge Energy for adjacent machines, and the Work Saddle lets players carry a worker and release it elsewhere. Recipes, processing times, tiers, and other settings are data-driven, allowing modpacks to add or rebalance conversions, set which stations can perform recipes, and tune parameters such as hunger cost and energy rates. JEI, EMI, and Jade integrations expose recipes and machine information, with optional in-game documentation through GuideMe.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 13 blocks, 5 items, 1 biome and 48 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
Point at or tap a version to see its loaders.
Modpacks that include Horse Powered in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 9 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 4 points.
