    About

    GuideME is a toolkit for mod and modpack makers to create in-game guidebooks, with pages written in Markdown and guide content that can also be supplied through resource packs. For readers, its guides use a reflowing, smooth-scrolling layout with full-text search, linked topics and item references, tooltip previews, inline JEI-style recipes, and interactive 3D scenes with annotations that can be built from structure files. Guide authors can organize pages into navigation trees and categories, and include item and block renderings, item grids, images, and links to recipes or related guide pages. Guides can connect item tooltips to their relevant pages, while resource packs and add-ons can contribute guide content; makers can also extend Markdown tags, recipe rendering, and page indexing for their own content. A live-preview mode reflects edits to locally stored guide pages in-game, and an automated best-effort converter can turn existing Patchouli books into GuideME guides.
