Infectum is a Minecraft mod about an evolving infection, its monsters, and the cult that interacts with them. You can explore cult ruins in plains, including a very rare ruined cult city, and find altars and other cult items there. Cult activities provide progression through cult points: sacrifice altars grant points for kills, while worship tasks can be completed by attacking the altar or sending a pet to do so. Cult equipment lets you summon tameable infectoids, including small infectoids, beetles, a rideable beetle queen, worms, queens, and bombers. The infection brings a broad range of enemies, from small infectoids, bloats, and buzzers to watchers that launch blinding missiles, sluggers that spread infected blocks, waspoids, hivers, and poison-spitting leapers. A progression system advances as you sleep, introducing new threats in stages, from buzzer eggs hatching to naturally spawning infectoids, larger infected growths, and pre-Overlord bosses. Boss encounters include the Overlord, whose defeat leads to a stronger true form, as well as the Queen, bomber, and infectious worm; later challenges include the Guardian and Devourer of Souls. Other notable threats include the teleporting Spectoid, the missile-firing Destroyer and Watchlord, and a Cultic Construct found in a large dungeon at the world center. Infection can alter the landscape: Sluggers spread infected blocks, and an infected biome spreads through spores from infectious maws; the Infector wand also lets you convert biomes into infected terrain. The mod also adds infectious weapons and armor, including an infected staff that consumes experience to create a blast, and armor that reduces nearby mobs’ detection range.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.19.2.
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 73 blocks, 119 items, 59 entities, 33 recipes, 4 advancements, 9 loot tables and 1 sound.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.19.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.19.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
